ABOUT

The Common Facility Centre (CFC) at Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College (AKGEC), Ghaziabad, has been established under the “One District One Product (ODOP) – CFC Scheme” of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The centre serves as a collaborative platform between industry and academia to support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and general engineering industries in product innovation, productivity enhancement, and advanced technical skilling.

The foundation was laid on 23 June 2021 and Inaugurated on 18 September 2024 by Hon’ble Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Ji, the CFC is equipped with a Modern Tool Room, Material Testing Laboratory, and Research & Development facilities, enabling access to cutting-edge manufacturing technologies and material characterization. The initiative is led by the AKG Foundation for Innovation and Product Development (AFIPD), an SPV formed with 22 industry and academic partners.

One District One Product (ODOP) scheme is an initiative of Government of Uttar Pradesh to encourage & promote MSMEs related to the indigenous and specialized product with distinct identity from a district which have potential of generating more employment and development.
